Translation and understanding of Romeo’s speech

ROMEO:

I fear, too early: for my mind misgives

Some consequence yet hanging in the stars

Shall bitterly begin his fearful date

With this night’s revels and expire the term

Of a despised life closed in my breast

By some vile forfeit of untimely death.

But He, that hath the steerage of my course,

Direct my sail! On, lusty gentlemen.

Translation:

Romeo  feels that something is going to go wrong at the party, but he trusts  that this is what is meant to happen to him. He has faith that god has set this up for him so will not change what is meant for him.

But then at the end of the play he does not have faith in him anymore so takes his life away from the power of god.
